About Jennifer Garvey: Jennifer is the Head of New York Market Strategy for Ørsted, the global leader in offshore wind. In this role in she leads government and community relations for the execution of Ørsted’s two project’s for the state – South Fork Wind and Sunrise Wind. Jennifer has extensive experience in environmental policy, grassroots communication, coalition building and legislative affairs. She began working on the state’s first offshore wind project in 2017 after serving as Associate Director and Co-Founder of the New York State Center for Clean Water Technology at Stony Brook University. Prior to that, Jen served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Town of Southampton, where she managed a broad portfolio of issues with a particular focus on environmental and land-use policies. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
